The position of this place by the river is fantastic, and the service couldn't have been better with a very mindful staff. As for the food, it was commendable although I would have appreciated a touch more meat considering the cost. The menu displayed an array of sheesha flavours, however, lacked the corresponding prices. Without giving it much thought, we ordered it following our meal, having experienced sheesha throughout England and London in the past. However, we were taken aback when it racked up a £30 charge on our bill, just for the two of us. This significantly overstepped my expectations of cost for what it was, which inevitably cast a shadow over our day. Persian Palace, kindly reconsider this approach, it feels like a ripoff.

Thoroughly enjoyed the venue and cuisine. The service was quick, effective, and delivered by a courteous, highly-trained team. The dishes were full of flavor. Most of us had a first-time experience with Persian fare and found it absolutely delightful. The mutton/lamb kebab deserves a particular note of praise. It was nothing short of delectable and stood out as the top pick. I'm looking forward to sampling the Sisha in the future. My gratitude for the wonderful food and service.

Our dining experience at the Persian Palace in Reading was truly outstanding. We were embraced by a comforting ambiance and greeted by hospitable staff members. The unquestionable star of our meal was the appetizer made out of aubergine, served with naan—this combination was generously seasoned and remarkably tasty. In addition, the lamb shanks we ordered were delicately prepared and flawlessly cooked, accompanied well with aromatic rice and a savory broth. While the tea was not extraordinary, its presentation compensated for it, being served in an exquisite Persian teapot complemented with stylish glasses. The meal was perfectly topped off with scrumptiously sweet baklava. Overall, it was an immensely satisfying culinary journey!

It's truly a breath of fresh air to experience outstanding service, a standard that this place certainly meets. The food quality is top-notch with freshly baked bread at every meal, delightful appetizers in the form of dips, and scrumptiously flavored meat for main courses. I would advocate for anyone looking for a memorable dining experience where sharing food is part of the joy. Even their tea presentation is aesthetic. The only room for improvement might be the overly bright overhead lights which, if dimmed, could enhance the ambiance. All in all, it's a great place that I regret not discovering sooner!
